Unlocking Pets in Loftia
In Loftia, players unlock pets by completing the quest Notes From the Fauna for Joanna and crafting a Basic Habitat. Joanna offers the quest in The Hanging Gardens after players complete preliminary field research. Completing Notes From the Fauna rewards the recipe for a Basic Habitat.
Notes From the Fauna Quest Tasks
In the quest Notes From the Fauna, Joanna asks players to rescue a companion animal:
- Players must “Look around for clues on the dog’s whereabouts”.
- Players are then tasked to “Make sure the dog is well-fed” to complete the rescue.
- Reporting back to Joanna completes the mission and grants the Basic Habitat recipe.
Crafting a Basic Habitat
Players craft the shelter at Project Station Level 2:
- The Basic Habitat recipe requires 2 Flexible Lumber, 2 Resin, and 2 Jute Fabric.
- Constructing the habitat consumes 10 energy units.
- The item description states: “A simple house for your animal friend.”
Additional Animal Rescue Quests
Joanna provides further animal companion quests across Loftia:
- In the side quest “Fur Real?”, players collect 10 clues in Loftia City and “Make sure the cat is well-fed”.
- In the side quest “Fur-ther Investigation”, players collect 30 clues across districts and “Make sure the capybara is well-fed”.
