Steam Next Fest Community Growth
The Loftia team noted that Steam Next Fest is in full swing and welcomed many new players joining the community over the past few days. The developers highlighted that the demo is only a very small part of the content, narrative, and gameplay systems planned for Early Access in less than two weeks. The team stated they have addressed another batch of reported issues and remain committed to responding with fixes quickly.
Bug Fixes and Neighborhood Travel
Additional fixes were applied for traveling to House Showcase results and collecting rewards. The update fixed group neighborhood travel repeatedly failing or returning players to the login screen. Pebble’s City Tour quest becoming stuck after an interruption or disconnection was resolved, allowing players to speak to Pebble to resume the tour. The update fixed occasionally being unable to enter Decorate Mode outside your house.
Furniture placement sometimes being incorrectly blocked by the floor inside your house was resolved. The patch fixed large default trees becoming impossible to place after picking them up. Missing weather icons and incorrect solar panel information on some home islands were corrected. The developers fixed conflicting saved quest progress causing repeated dialogue or blocked progression after reconnecting, particularly with Pebble.
A potential fix was added for players getting stuck in the ground when returning to Loftia City from an Adventure. Issues with Pebble’s Birthday Party Bot were resolved, including quest completion and the camera becoming detached after closing the completed project screen. The patch fixed World Project memories incorrectly counting completed contributions. Player counts used by World Projects and World Maintenance during busy periods were corrected. Newly available neighborhood space not being detected after the last player leaves was fixed.
System and Interface Improvements
The developers improved dialogue camera angles around Milo’s Workshop, the Air Tram, and Herb. The login process now automatically retries temporary connection failures instead of immediately displaying an error. Clearer login messages were added when Steam is offline, not running, or may need an update. A preview of Demo rewards was added to the Link Your Email button alongside a fix for controller activation. Placeholder rarity icons were removed from some items.
World Changes in Loftia City
Plantable Garden Beds were removed from Loftia City, with the team noting they may return in the future with clearer information regarding their shared public nature.
Community Events and Discord Updates
The team encouraged players to join the official Discord server to stay updated on future scheduled server downtime and hotfixes. Community events are also running on the Discord server in the events channel for interested players.
