Steam Next Fest Demo Milestones

Over the course of Steam Next Fest, close to 150,000 players tried the Loftia demo. Loftia was one of the most popular games during Next Fest out of over 7,000 games on Steam’s Top Demos page. The game also reached #1 on the highest number of online players for part of the week. On top of that, Loftia was the #1 most streamed game of Next Fest on Twitch.

Early Access Launch Date and Core Storyline

Early Access launches on November 3rd at 1pm EST. In Early Access, players will be able to progress through the entire core storyline and explore features that were not available in the demo.

Features and Districts Coming to Early Access

The developers shared a list of features that will be waiting for players in Early Access. The Hanging Gardens district introduces a peaceful floating island of lush greenery, cozy fishing spots, community farms, and a mysterious dark forest. The Gridfall district serves as Loftia’s salvaging district, where players can skate on air rails, parkour through skyscrapers, and explore secret underground tunnels with friends.

Players can adopt pets to join their journey, care for them, dress them up, and grow their friendship. Sustainable farming expands with more advanced methods, such as trellises and Hydroponics Stations. New energy forms allow players to create more efficient sources of renewable energy to charge batteries, such as wind, hydro, biofuel, and kinetic.

For fishing, players can craft a Collector Rod to safely catch endangered fish species for repopulation efforts. Players can push their proficiencies far past the demo’s Level 5 cap and invest in Perks. The Urbex activity allows players to explore ancient tunnels and abandoned buildings for Artifacts that could reveal the mysteries of Old Earth. Players can also tackle bigger World Projects together, like rebuilding the Loftia City Dome, and help the upkeep of Loftia’s landmarks.
